Copper Coat
TLC Boat Repairs are able to carry out copper coat treatment after osmosis treatment instead of traditional antifouling. The copper paint forms cuprous oxide on contact with water which is a highly effective antifouling that deters growth. Copper coat has the advantage over traditional antifouling in that a single treatment lasts for up to 10 years.
The copper coat is applied as a copper-filled epoxy resin, providing antifouling as well as an additional membrane.
Copper coat is also kinder to the environment as it does not corrode and deposit itself in the environment.
What we do
We normally apply Copper Coat as an additional service after Osmosis Treatment, however, because the copper coat is epoxy based, we are able to remove existing anti-fouling and apply a copper coat in it's place depending on satisfactory moisture readings.
Transport
We undertake work from all over the country, and our TLC all-in package includes the transportation both ways and hardstanding for the duration of the work, as well as the osmosis treatment itself.
Additional Services
We are a west system approved osmosis treatment centre.
