The owner of Hildene, a 1970 Freeman 26, found us on the internet, and we transported her from the Norfolk Broads for a full osmosis treatment and repair of fractures to the toe-rail.

The hull was peeled and shotblasted, and due to lamination problems was then repeeled on our advice. We then applied a biaxial membrane and laminated with West System epoxies. We filled and faired the hull, and finally primed and antifouled with antifoul supplied by the customer.

Fractures to the toe rail were then dremelled out and re-filed and faired. We then spent considerable time locating a gel coat match and regelled the toe rail. Because this problem is common on this type of boat we passed on the remaining gel coat to the customer, and showed him the method we used for repairing the fractures so that he could carry out any future repairs himself.

Russell told us that he was suprised at the match to the original gel-coat that we had found, and at TLC we will always go the extra mile to make sure that attention to detail is applied to all aspects of our work.
